So, following up on that McCartney piece I shared the other day, I wrote an editorial to go along with it. My uncle was a longtime Beatles fanatic, used to co-host a radio show called “Breakfast with the Beatles” on WCKG. So I had an interesting connection/full circle sort of feeling when covering the Paul McCartney show. So, I unearthed the photo and wrote about the experience that week. “Mondays can be stressful times around our office. “It’s go-to-print day, and that means assistant editors are bouncing between papers, trying to clean up their stories, trimming calendars to fit our Page 2 space and walking the tightrope between which editors need their help most at any given moment. …” Editorial I wrote for the Sept. 1 edition of The Orland Park Prairie I was pretty happy with.
